A shelf, not a dump
There are hundreds of Claude Code mods on GitHub already. Modshelf lists the ones worth installing, shows each one running, and tells you what it can touch.
How a mod gets on the shelf
- We pick it. It has to do something useful or delightful that you can see, work on the current Claude Code, and come from a real author with a public repo.
- We read the code and run
claude plugin validateon it. That gives the reach label and the list of calls on its page. - We record it running. Every recording is a real Claude Code session with the mod loaded, made in a sandbox with no network access and no real credentials, so a mod can't reach anything while we film it.
- We credit the author on the card, on the page and in the page data, with a link to their repo.
About the recordings
Claude's side of each recording is scripted: a stand-in for the API answers with a short, fixed reply, so we never send a real model request from inside the sandbox. Everything the mod draws, counts or blocks is the mod itself, running in Claude Code 2.1.287.
