PR Tracker running in Claude Code

Recorded on Claude Code 2.1.287 in a sandbox. Claude's replies are scripted, and gitHub's answers are stubbed with made-up pull requests; everything the mod draws is real.

What it does

Paste a GitHub pull request link as your whole prompt and it becomes a line above the prompt, without starting a turn. Each line shows the merge state, the review decision and the required checks (✓ passed, ✗ failed, ● pending), colored green, yellow or red, and it refreshes every minute. When a required check or the merge state changes, you get a toast with what changed and a white "PR checks changed" strip for a second, so you can keep working until the PR needs you.

How to use it

  • Paste one or more PR links as the whole prompt to start watching them. Paste the same link again to stop.
  • A PR link inside a normal prompt is watched too, and so is any open PR Claude mentions in its answer or creates with gh pr create.
  • Hover a line to get open, mute, details and ×. details opens a pane on the right listing every required check, with links to the runs. Hovering needs a terminal that reports the mouse.
  • Turn on Mute all PR alerts in /config to keep the lines updating without toasts or sounds.

Good to know

  • It polls through gh api graphql, one read-only call per PR per minute, so it sees what your gh login can see. Only github.com links are recognized.
  • On macOS it also plays a system sound on a change. Inside cmux it flashes the session's pane and posts a notification.
  • Watched PRs live in memory and are forgotten when the session restarts.
  • In a terminal without clickable links, each line also prints the PR's URL, as in the recording.
  • The README says to set CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_FUNCTION_HOOKS=1. On Claude Code 2.1.287 mods load without it.
