FlowPane

Watch a Workflow run as a live graph of its phases and agents, in a side pane

FlowPane running in Claude Code

Recorded on Claude Code 2.1.287 in a sandbox. Claude's replies are scripted; everything the mod draws is real.

What it does

When Claude starts a Workflow, a pane opens beside the transcript and draws the run as it happens. Each phase is a column and each agent is a card, framed green when it's done, yellow while it runs, red if it failed and grey if the run cut it off. A card shows how long the agent took, the tokens it's holding, its model and the tool it's calling right now. Edges connect one phase to the next, and the header keeps a running count of agents done, time and tokens.

It's for multi-agent runs that are otherwise a progress bar: you can see which agent is slow, which one failed and where the tokens went.

How to use it

Start any Workflow. The pane opens when the run launches and repaints about eight times a second while it's live.

  • Click a card's label to open that agent's detail: its prompt, every tool call with its input, and its answer. Click again to close it.
  • Click ⚙ Settings under the graph to change the layout (across, down, timeline, list, or fits the pane) and the palette (twelve, nine dark and three light).
  • Click the run's name to switch to another run from this session. With nothing running, the pane lists the session's runs.
  • /flowpane opens or closes the pane. /flowpane runs lists the session's runs, /flowpane timeline (or horizontal, vertical, list, fits) changes the layout, /flowpane theme lists the palettes, and /flowpane help shows the rest.
  • Default settings live in /plugin configure flowpane: layout, detail height and pane height.

Good to know

  • It only reads. It follows the files Claude Code already writes for each run under the session folder (the run's journal, its summary and each agent's transcript) and never writes any.
  • Under /tui default the pane never draws. Use /tui fullscreen.
  • Claude Code only lets a pane open by itself on a terminal 144 columns or wider.
  • FlowPane costs nothing to run, but Workflows themselves start many agents and can use a lot of tokens.
  • The README installs from the author's other marketplace, mpolatcan/cc-plugins. This repo is also its own marketplace, which is what the install box above uses.
